Experience the Magic of Prague at Christmastime ✨🎄
Step into a real-life winter wonderland as we journey to Prague during its most enchanting season. The city comes alive with twinkling lights, the scent of cinnamon and roasted nuts in the air, and the sound of carols drifting through the historic streets.
Wander through the world-famous Old Town Square Market, where colorful wooden stalls overflow with handmade ornaments, festive treats, and warm mulled wine. Discover smaller neighborhood markets, each with its own charm, and savor hearty Czech favorites like trdelník pastries and goulash.
Between market visits, we’ll explore Prague’s breathtaking Gothic and Baroque architecture, stroll across the iconic Charles Bridge, and take in panoramic views of the city’s snow-dusted rooftops.
This isn’t just a trip—it’s an immersion into the warmth and wonder of the holiday season in one of Europe’s most beautiful cities. Bring your sense of adventure, your love of Christmas, and maybe an extra suitcase for all your treasures.

As you start planning for our magical Christmas adventure in Prague, I wanted to share some helpful tips for booking your flights.
Please be at the accommodations on December 13th by 4:00 PM
Where to Fly Into:
The airport you’ll want to book into is Václav Havel Airport Prague (PRG). This is Prague’s main international airport, located just outside the city center. It’s convenient, modern, and well-connected to our accommodations.
Best Airports to Depart From (South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia):
Atlanta (ATL) – The largest hub in the Southeast with the most international options. Easy one-stop connections to Prague via Frankfurt, Munich, Paris, or Amsterdam.
Charlotte (CLT) – Excellent choice for travelers in the Carolinas, with many one-stop flights to Prague through European hubs like London, Frankfurt, and Munich.
Raleigh-Durham (RDU) – Smaller than ATL or CLT, but offers good one-stop routes via Delta, Lufthansa, Air France, or KLM.
Charleston (CHS), Greenville-Spartanburg (GSP), and Columbia (CAE) – These airports typically require a short domestic flight first, usually to ATL, CLT, or another larger hub, before connecting overseas.
Tips for Booking:
Look at airlines such as Delta, American, United, Lufthansa, Air France, KLM, and British Airways for the best one-stop connections.
Most itineraries will route through major European cities (like Frankfurt, Munich, Paris, or Amsterdam) before arriving in Prague.
Book early for the best fares, especially since Christmas is a popular travel season!
Once you’ve secured your flights, please share your arrival details so we can coordinate and make your Prague arrival as smooth as possible.

Discover the historic buildings and haunting bone chapel of Kutna Hora, one of the most popular destinations in the Czech Republic, and located about 1 hour outside of Prague in Central Bohemia.
Prague Castle was most likely founded in around 880 by Prince Bořivoj of the Premyslid Dynasty (Přemyslovci). According to the Guinness Book of World Records, Prague Castle is the largest coherent castle complex in the world, with an area of almost 70,000 m². A UNESCO World Heritage site, it consists of a large-scale composition of palaces and ecclesiastical buildings of various architectural styles, from the remains of Romanesque-style buildings from the 10th century through Gothic modifications of the 14th century. The famous Slovenian architect Josip Plečnik was responsible for extensive renovations in the time of the First Republic (1918-1938). Since the Velvet Revolution, Prague Castle has undergone significant and ongoing repairs and reconstructions.
While their is evidence for early 10th century settlement of the area, the torrid history of the former Jewish Ghetto began in the 13th century, when Jewish people were ordered to vacate their disparate homes and settle in this one part of town.
Over the centuries, with Jews banned from living elsewhere in Prague, and with new arrivals expelled from Moravia, Germany, Austria and Spain joining them, ever more people crowded in to the quarter.
You will have time to explore the city on your own. Walk the winding streets, walk across Charles Bridge, or just sit in a cafe. Later on that evening, we will meet up to walk to our last Christmas Market
