Join us for an unforgettable adventure through two of Europe’s most captivating countries — Portugal and Spain. This intimate small group experience invites you to soak in the beauty, culture, and charm of Lisbon, Sintra, and Seville at a relaxed and enriching pace.
Lisbon: Timeless Charm on the Hills
Begin your journey in Portugal’s vibrant capital. We’ll explore the historic neighborhoods of Alfama and Bairro Alto, wander through the grand Praça do Comércio, and take in sweeping views from São Jorge Castle. Ride the iconic yellow tram through cobbled streets, sample delicious pastéis de nata, and soak in the soulful sounds of Fado music during an optional evening performance.
Sintra: A Fairytale Escape
Just a short drive from Lisbon, the enchanting town of Sintra awaits. Nestled in the lush hills, this UNESCO World Heritage site is home to colorful palaces and romantic ruins. We’ll visit the whimsical Pena Palace, wander the gardens of Quinta da Regaleira, and admire views from the ancient Moorish Castle. There will be time to browse local shops or relax in a cozy café with a travesseiro pastry.
Seville: Spanish Passion and Elegance
Crossing into southern Spain, we arrive in Seville — a city bursting with color, flamenco rhythm, and Moorish heritage. Tour the magnificent Seville Cathedral, home to the tomb of Christopher Columbus, and climb the Giralda Tower for panoramic views. Explore the intricate beauty of the
Alcázar Palace, still used by the Spanish royal family, and stroll through the fragrant orange-scented lanes of the Santa Cruz neighborhood. In the evening, enjoy a traditional flamenco show that captures the soul of Andalusia.

As we prepare for our journey through Lisbon, Sintra, and Seville, we want to make sure all travelers have a clear understanding of what to expect—especially those with mobility concerns. These destinations are rich in history, charm, and centuries-old architecture, but that also means they can present a few challenges.
Lisbon is known as the “City of Seven Hills,” and its beauty often comes with steep inclines, cobblestone streets, and uneven pavements. Many older neighborhoods—like Alfama and Bairro Alto—have narrow walkways and limited access to elevators or ramps. While we do our best to choose centrally located hotels and accessible transportation, travelers with mobility limitations may find walking in certain areas demanding.
Sintra offers breathtaking palaces and lush landscapes, but many of its historic sites involve uphill walks, staircases, and grounds that aren’t fully accessible. The terrain around the Pena Palace and Moorish Castle is particularly steep and uneven, and shuttle options can still require a fair amount of walking.
Seville, while generally more level than Lisbon and Sintra, still features many old-town areas with narrow, cobbled streets and limited vehicle access. Some historic attractions may not have full lift access due to preservation restrictions. Distances can also feel long in the heat, which may add extra difficulty for travelers who move at a slower pace.
We always aim to make our trips as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. If you have mobility concerns, please feel free to reach out so we can provide additional details and help you determine whether this itinerary is the right fit for you.
